I'm in the mood for sushi for lunch. This place only 10 minutes away from my work so it's convenient. The server/hostess very friendly. Food are fresh and yummy! Good selections. They have lunch special menu too. I opt for lunch menu. The lunch menu come with miso soup. I ordered sushi box. It was a variety of sushi, salad and gyoza.  I would come here again for lunch. They do quick service too.

Wow! I am so disheartened at how we were treated at Sakura tonight. We have been here ( my 8 yr old son and I ) several times when we shop at the Galleria Mall.
Food has always been quite palatable (personally I prefer more authentic Japanese cuisine ie.Kuni's in the city). My son and I had appetizers and my son ordered two sushi entrees and I ordered a POKE bowl. We complimented the wait staff on the food on several occasions during our meal. We ordered an abundance of food (even dessert) and couldn't even finish what we ordered. We were the only two ppl dining in this establishment at dinner time.../ on a rainy Saturday night no less!!! When we were squaring away our bill, a woman and a young teen female  sat down, 4 tables away. My son began to watch a video of a puppy of YouTube when the waiter approached (after we paid our bill.... 74 dollars with a 15 dollar tip) MIND YOU.... we were the only two there dining until the other two patrons arrived! Waiter said "please turn down your phone, you are ruining the ambiance".

    Lol!!!!!

The last few times we dined there at dinner hour, the place was dead/ I couldn't understand because given the fact this place is in Cheektowaga in a STRIP MALL (such ambiance! Ha) the food has always been quite good (more so in my 8 yr olds opinion ;)

The owners who Are typically there during the day are wonderful ppl. The husband and wife are just so professional and very friendly:
    They seem quite genuine.

I can't believe they employ such sub par staff. I urge them To re evaluate who is manning the place after they leave. They are probably the reason the place is always dead. Such poor customer service.

I can't understand how this place stays in business anymore. I never would leave negative feedback for any business on YELP but I'm so upset and insulted. Not every place of business is on point 24/7 but I know that the owners would be happy to know what goes on after they leave. Hopefully these ppl are not their relatives tho it wouldn't surprise me. Please Sakura.... treat your Patrons with some dignity and respect:
I will not patron you again. I told your wait staff this and they couldn't care less, not even offering an apology.

No reason to go back here.

The ends of a few rolls had almost nothing in them (see picture), one special roll was sliced so thin I couldn't pick it up without it falling apart, the SST roll may or may not have actually had any eel in it. When I asked my wife if her pieces had eel, she said, "Maybe that dark spot on the left under the shrimp?  Pretty sparse."  Eel roll was also pretty sparse with the eel.

The fish was fine, nothing to write home about.

They charged me $6.95 for a salmon avocado roll, which is $.45 more than the Alaska roll, which is the same thing but also includes cucumber... so I'm not sure how that works.  I didn't pitch a fit over 45 cents, I just won't go back.

I went to Sakura Sushi for the first time over the weekend with a friend on Saturday around 5:30pm, and there was no wait at all. The service was fast and our waiter was great. I ordered the melting shrimp I and my friend ordered the classic salmon and crab roll. Both us loved our food, the melting shrimp gets blow torched which was pretty neat to see if you look back while there making your food. There menu is HUGE and they have a very large variety of different sushi rolls. It took me a while to choose one because they all sounded so delicious! I will definitely be back again to try another!

I like this sushi place for takeout. I've been here twice and both times it's been great. Sushi is moderately priced and    Tastes great! My favorite so far is the spider roll and California roll.
